SMS Terms & Consent Disclosures

How we handle text messaging for Tradecraft

Effective Date: April 16, 2026

1. Program Overview

This page describes the SMS (text messaging) program operated by HelioNova, Inc. ("HelioNova," "we," "our," or "us") for its Tradecraft field service management platform at tradecraft.nexus. The program is registered as an A2P 10DLC campaign with The Campaign Registry (TCR) through Twilio.

Program name: Tradecraft Service Notifications.

Who sends: HelioNova, Inc. sends SMS on behalf of the trade and service businesses ("subscriber businesses") that use Tradecraft. Messages are sent from a dedicated Tradecraft Messaging Service or a long code provisioned to the subscriber business.

2. Message Types

Messages are limited to transactional and service-related communications tied to an end user's existing relationship or explicit service request with a subscriber business. Examples:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Technician en route / ETA updates
  • Job completion notices and follow-ups
  • Estimate and quote notifications
  • Payment receipts and invoice notices (including overdue reminders)
  • Optional AI-assisted follow-up messages from the subscriber business related to existing appointments, estimates, or service requests
  • Account- and service-related account notices

We do not use this program for affiliate marketing, promotional messages from unaffiliated third parties, or any content outside the scope of the end user's relationship with the subscriber business.

3. How End Users Consent to Receive Messages

Before any text message is sent, the end user has opted in through one of the following paths. We do not use shortcode keyword subscription for this program.

3.1 Primary Path — Subscriber Business Intake

End users provide their mobile number directly to a subscriber business (for example, a plumbing, HVAC, or electrical contractor). The subscriber business is responsible for obtaining consent under applicable law before a number is used for SMS on Tradecraft. Typical consent methods the subscriber business may use include:

  • Written service agreements or contracts that disclose SMS notifications
  • Web or paper intake forms with a clear SMS consent checkbox and disclosure (program name, message types, frequency, rates, STOP/HELP)
  • Electronic signature workflows that include SMS consent language
  • Recorded verbal consent during inbound or outbound service calls
  • In-person confirmation at the time of service

Tradecraft does not initiate SMS to an end user until the subscriber business has stored the number and enabled SMS notifications for that customer.

3.2 Secondary Path — AI Chatbot or Voice Booking

When an end user voluntarily provides a phone number during a chat or voice interaction with a subscriber business's AI agent (operated on Tradecraft) to request service, receive a quote, or book an appointment, that action constitutes consent to receive transactional SMS related to that specific request — for example, a confirmation, reminder, technician en-route update, or completion notice. The AI agent discloses that providing a phone number may be used for service-related text messages before the number is collected.

3.3 Secondary Path — Customer Preference Selection

Where a subscriber business offers a self-service customer portal, the end user may select SMS as their preferred contact method and opt into SMS reminders for their account. This is a supplemental signal on top of the primary consent collected by the subscriber business in Section 3.1; it does not replace that primary consent.

4. Message Frequency

Frequency varies by user activity and is driven by service events (scheduling, technician dispatch, job completion, payment processing). A typical end user receives approximately 1-5 messages per service engagement. Recurring customers of subscriber businesses may receive additional messages tied to future appointments or invoices.

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier charges for SMS/MMS apply based on the recipient's wireless plan. Tradecraft does not charge end users to receive program messages.

6. Opt-Out (STOP)

Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP (case-insensitive) to any message received from the program. Upon receipt of a STOP request, the wireless carrier and Tradecraft will immediately unsubscribe the recipient from the sending number, and the recipient will receive a final confirmation message of the form:

“You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.”

Additional stop keywords supported by the platform include END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and QUIT. Recipients may re-subscribe at any time by replying START.

7. Help (HELP)

Recipients may reply HELP to any message to receive customer care contact information. Alternatively, contact us directly using the details below:

8. Privacy and Data Sharing

Mobile numbers and SMS consent information are not sold, rented, or shared with unaffiliated third parties for their marketing purposes. Mobile numbers are used only to deliver the transactional and service-related messages described in Section 2, and are shared with our telecommunications service providers (e.g., Twilio and wireless carriers) only to the extent necessary to deliver the messages.

For a full description of how we collect, use, and safeguard personal information, see our Privacy Policy. For subscriber business responsibilities, see our Terms of Service.

9. Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to the recipient's wireless carrier and handset capabilities. Program availability may be limited in certain regions based on carrier coverage.

10. Eligibility

The program is intended for recipients in the United States who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their state of residence). By opting in, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements and that you are the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number you provide.

11. Subscriber Business Responsibilities

Businesses using Tradecraft to send SMS to their customers ("subscriber businesses") agree, as a condition of using our SMS features, to:

  • Obtain prior express consent from each recipient in compliance with the TCPA, CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, applicable state laws, and all other applicable law
  • Disclose program details (message types, frequency, rates, opt-out mechanism) at the point of consent collection
  • Use SMS only for transactional and service-related messages within the scope described in Section 2
  • Honor STOP requests promptly and not circumvent opt-outs
  • Maintain records of consent sufficient to demonstrate compliance on request

12. Changes to This Page

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, carrier requirements, or applicable law. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
